Microsoft might launch it's Surface phone in September this year

American multinational technology company Microsoft Corporation might launch its first Surface phone in September this year, when the IFA will be organizing in Berlin.

Some time ago rumours were saying that Microsoft is working on a new Surface Phone. And now, new rumours indicate that release date might be very soon.

According to various news reports, Microsoft may be releasing the Surface Phone in September this year, and will also be launching it in three variants. One is expected to have 4GB RAM and 32Gb internal storage, the second with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and the third having 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.

While the Surface Phone is expected to look very similar to recent Lumia smartphones, it’s likely going to pack a lot more punch in the hardware department. Reports indicate it will have the Intel Atom X3 processor with a 5.5-inch QHD Super AMOLED displayand 21MP/8MP camera combination in a Magnesiun Aluminium body.

Apart from the fact that a number of leaks on the upcoming Surface phone have already emerged, Microsoft has also suggested that Windows isn't the right platform to generate developer interest, at least in the current year.

“If you wanted to reach a lot of phone customers, Windows Phone isn’t the way to do it. If you want to reach a lot of Windows customers, then this is the largest install base of 9 to 30-inch screens. If you wanted to do new and exciting things, then the Xbox and HoloLens is the place to have a discussion,” said Terry Myerson, Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft while speaking at Microsoft's BUILD 2016.

“We’re going to do some cool things with phones, but this year phones are an important part of our family but not the tip of the spear,” he added.

6500 Kg beef seized and three held in Dharavi

Dharavi, Beef, Mumbai, Crime Branch Mumbai, Beef Seized, Beef Ban
Mumbai : The Mumbai city crime branch claim to have busted a major 'illegal beef export racket' with the seizure of 6500 Kg beef worth Rs 12 lakh, from four godowns in Dharavi late on Thursday.

This seizure is said to be the largest made in the city since the Maharashtra Animal Preservation (MAP) Act was amended last year.

Crime Branch officials said the tip-off was received by Unit III, according to which beef to be exported to Vietnam was being stored in Dharavi.

The police raid at a godown in Kuttu Wadi, Dharavi threw up dried organs of cows and bulls apart from the beef. Three persons present in the godown were placed under arrest.

Dhananjay Kulkarni, DCP (Detection) said that, “The accused had stored the beef with the intention of exporting it to Vietnam by sea under the guise of exporting buffalo meat. Some more people are suspected to have been involved, and we are making further inquiries into the source as well as the transport aspect of the racket.”

The arrested accused have been identified as Shamshad Qureshi, Ashraf Ali and Sartaj Qureshi and have been charged under the Maharashtra Animal Preservation (Amendment) Bill as well for killing or maiming cattle under the IPC. “The total weight of the beef seized in the raid is around 6.5 tons, which is worth Rs 14 lakh,” Mr Kulkarni added.

The slaughter of cows and bulls and the consumption and sale of their meat was banned in Maharashtra in March 2015, after President Pranab Mukherjee gave his assent to the Maharashtra Animal Preservation (Amendment) Bill close to 20 years after the Bill was passed in the Maharashtra Assembly when the Shiv Sena-BJP combine was in power in 1995.

Virbhadra Singh's son and daughter reached at Delhi High Court

Published By: Rajasthan News1 on: Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at: 1:12:00 AM

VIrbhadra Singh, virbhadra singh son, virbhadra family, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Himachal CM, Enforcement Directorate, Delhi High Sourt
Shimla : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh's son and daughter on Tuesday challenged in the Delhi High Court the Enforcement Directorate's order to provisionally attach their properties in a money laundering case.

A division bench of ChiefJustice G. Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath will hear their plea on Wednesday. The Enforcement Directorate's action is "pre-emptive, presumptuous and arbitrary" and hence has "no authority to initiate attachment proceeding against the petitioners", the chief minister's daughter Aparajita Kumari and son Vikramaditya Singh said in their petition.

They sought the quashing of the ED's order of March 23 issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The petitioners said the ED had attached Aparajita's movable assets worth over Rs.15.85 lakh and Vikramaditya's assets worth Rs.62.8 lakh.

The petitioners said their properties were attached even though they were not named in the first information report in the case. They said the ED decision was based on the Income Tax department's inquiries and investigation, which were themselves under challenge. The petitioners said there were no allegations against them, though there was an alleged InTome tax violation case against their father Virbhadra Singh.

That too is pending adjudication before the Income Tax authorities, they pointed out. The duo said they were also not summoned before the ED passed the attachment order. "No property of the petitioners could have been attached without giving them an opportunity to explain the sources of the property under attachment," the petitioners said.

"The allegations in the Enforcement Case Information Report do not disclose any offence of money laundering and thus the proceedings under the PMLA is bad in law." In November 2015, the ED registered a case under the PMLA at its New Delhi office against Virbhadra Singh and his family members, including his wife Pratibha Singh.

I returned at 4 am and went to sleep with Pratyusha in our room.

He said that, "When we woke up in the morning, the two of us ended up in an argument. Pratyusha started drinking and I was trying to convince her not to do it this early in the day. She did not listen to me. After a while, I too joined her. After this, At around 1 pm, I left home for some work. After almost an hour, I called her on her phone but it was switched off. After several attempts, she finally answered the phone. I asked her if she wanted me to pack lunch for her but she refused."

He added that, I reached home and the door was locked from inside. I asked my neighbour's domestic help to enter the house from the balcony and unlatch the door. When he entered, he found Pratyusha hanging from the ceiling fan of the living room. Shocked and numb, I called my uncle and later, I called Pratyusha's parents. I rushed her to Andheri's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

"I did not abscond as I have been accused of doing. I gave the cops my contact number. I was in touch with an advocate who advised me to leave the spot, saying Pratyusha's friends would harm me and the police would harass me. That's why I left. It was, obviously, a mistake," he said.
