48-year-old 'Khiladi' to seen romancing with 22-year-old Alia Bhatt

Mumbai : The Bollywood's 'Mr. Khiladi' Akshay Kumar, who has recently seen as Ranjit Katyal in Raja Krishna Menon's film 'Airlift', now will be next seen romancing with Alia Bhatt in director Sriram Raghavan's next film.

The 48-year-old Actor and 22-year-old actress has been roped in for the thriller film 'Badlapur'. While, director Sriram Raghavan is collaborating with script-writer-turned-author Sheeja Jose. The film will be based on the Jose’s best-selling book 'Gone With The Bullet'.

10 years ago, author Sheeja Jose had met filmmaker Sriram Raghavan soon after the release of his second directorial, 'Johnny Gaddaar' in 2007. The two had discussed a project but then both got busy with their respective works.

Now, after a decade, the two teamed up for a thriller based on Sheeja's second bestseller, 'Gone With The Bullet'. Sriram, who has read Sheeja's debut book, 'Goodbye Girl,' describes her as a "welcome voice in Indian crime fiction" and is keen to convert the novel into a full length feature film.

The novel was originally a film script, which Sujoy Ghosh had planned to bring on screen. It did not work out then and Sheeja turned the script into a book."It took me two years to complete and when things didn't fall in place with Sujoy, I turned the script into a book. The story follows an 18-year-old girl who falls in love with a 40-something assassin," she informs.

When prodded about the casting, Sheeja told a leading daily, "I think Sriram will agree that Akshay Kumar would be perfect as the brooding dark assassin and Alia Bhatt as the new-age girl in love. It's a hatke romance against the backdrop of bullets."

Sumit Khetan facilitates producer Subhash Ghai at Lions Gold Awards

Mumbai : The 22nd Lions Gold Awards held in Mumbai was a star studded affair. The event was spearheaded by Lion Raju V Manwani & Lion Aneel Murarka with a view to support and encourage “Swachh Bharat – Clean India".

Choreographer and Artistic Director Sumit Khetan choreographed Lion’s Gold Awards and burned the dance floor with his team and facilitated Bollywood veteran personality and producer Subhash Ghai. 

Sumit Khetan is Bollywood's well known choreographer, who prepared a dance number for Subhash Ghai and Ranveer Singh in Lions Gold Awards. The influential Choreographer is famous for Creating Magic by his Visuals. He mesmerized the audiences through his innovative moves. 

Sumit Khetan Said, “It was a great opportunity to share the stage with Mr. Ghai honoring him with a Shawl and a Directors hat. Sumit whole heartedly thanks The Lions Club, Mr Raju V Manwani &  Mr Aneel Murarka and all the jury members. PM Modi inaugurates National Institute of Science Education and Research

Bhubaneswar : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today dedicated to the nation, the National Institute of Science Education and Research at Bhubaneswar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said innovation is the need of the hour for every society and every era. In this context, he mentioned India’s space programme, which had begun from scratch, and the whole world was now taking note of.

He called upon young scientists to be similarly inspired to achieve and to serve the people through their work. He said it is important to develop a scientific temper among students.

The Prime Minister hoped that an environment of innovation would be fostered among scientific institutions. In the context of NISER, situated in Odisha, he mentioned the possibilities for innovation in areas such as coal gasification and clean energy, the blue economy, and housing for all by 2022.

The Prime Minister urged the students of NISER to work towards making NISER India's greenest campus, and a zero-emission, zero-discharge campus which uses only renewable energy.

Princess Diya Kumari Inaugurates National Conference of 'SOCHNI'

Jaipur : Sawai Madhopur MLA and also Princess Diya Kumari today inaugurated the 4th National Conference organized by ‘SOCHNI’ (Society of Community Health Nurses of India). The two-day conference is being organized at the Auditorium of the SMS Hospital in Jaipur. 

The central theme of the conference is ‘Disaster Preparedness – Community Health Nurses Take Responsibilities’.

On the occasion, Princess Diya Kumari said that at the time of disaster nurses play very important role in the treatment of patients. They not only provide mental support to patients but also treat patients with utmost willpower.

She also thanked the Medical and Health Minister, Rajendra Singh Rathore, who was present on the occasion, for his contribution in the health sector. On the occasion the souvenir and a booklet on ‘Disaster & You’ was also released by the Princess and the Health Minister.

Dharmendra felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award at 19th Hira Manek Awards

Mumbai : The versatile Dharmendra is an actor beyond compare who is probably the only superstar who had an enviable muscular physique along with unparalleled good looks. His action films made him popular and he was labeled as the "Action King" and "He-Man" of the Hindi Film Industry.

Dharmendra was recently felicitated with the Life Time Achievement Award at the 19th Hira Manek Award. This award has completed 19 years and various celebrities were invited from all walks of life. Filmmaker Anil Sharma and  Radio announcer Ameen Sayani also got Lifetime Achievement Award for their individual contributions in their own field.

Aman Trikha, Swati Sharrma and Sanchiti Sakat were awarded in the music category. The super talented cricketer from Dombivali, Pranav Dhanawade got Best Sports award. Mishka Jain was given the Best  Youngest Child award.

The others who received awards were Kirti Azad, Hemlata, Anand Pandit, Bharat Shah, Raj K Purohit, Deepak Raja, Arvind-Nilu, Inspector Rashila Wadher and many others at this prestigious award function at Worli.

Dharmendra is still young at heart and continues to blaze the screens with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

Dharmendra had also promoted Sunny Deol’s  “Ghayal Once Again” recently along with his son at  various events and we wish that his Superstar son Sunny Deol is also able to weave his magic at the box office yet again with “Ghayal Once Again” movie which released on 5th February 2016.

Honda BR-V makes its first appearance in India at Auto Expo 2016

Noida : Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India today unveiled its new model Honda BR-Vat the Auto Expo 2016 in presence of Takahiro Hachigo, President, CEO & Representative Officer, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Honda BR-V is a new generation Crossover Utility Vehicle which features the combination of bold, sporty appearance and handling of an SUV together with great utility and spacious cabin with 7 seats for the whole family.

Developed exclusively for the Asian market by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd, the much-awaited Honda BR-V is scheduled to be launched in India this year.

The company also showcased its flagship sedan Honda Accord at the motor show.

HCIL plans to further strengthen its sedan line-up in India and re-introduce the Honda Accord later this year. Honda Accord enjoys a strong legacy in premium sedan segment in India, with the earlier generations making a strong foothold in the market.
